Operations and precautions during COVID-19

July 11, 2020

In the interest of the health and well-being of Our People, Our Families, Our Clients and Our Community, we want to update you on the current precautions our firm is taking in regard to COVID-19, while maintaining excellence and a consistent level of client service.

We are continuing to closely monitor relevant medical and government agencies recommendations to ensure we are proactively managing best practices. We are taking a cautious approach to the return to in-person contact and in-office activity.

  • Telephone and virtual client meetings remain the primary recommendation
  • Electronic delivery of records and online payment options are still preferred
  • Our office is open to client traffic during regular business hours:

Monday to Wednesday 8:30am to noon and 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Thursday 8:30am to noon and 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Closed Fridays for July and August

In all situations, health and safety protocols are maintained. Our office guidelines include, but are not
limited to:

  • If you have any of these symptoms you are asked to please stay at home – Fever, Cough, Cold, Headache, Diarrhea, Shortness of breath, Sore throat, Joint or muscle pain
  • Physical protocols and policies are in place to ensure physical distance between individuals of 2 metres, masks are available if you are unable to maintain 2 metres
  • Personal protective equipment, including hand sanitizer as added assurance
  • Please follow all posted signage within the building and our office
  • We have set limits to the number of people in a defined space
  • 50% of our office staff continue to work remotely
  • We have guidelines and protocols for travel, close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and symptoms of COVID-19
  • We have response protocols in place for situations where we become aware that an employee, service provider or client has tested positive for COVID-19
  • Increased cleaning and sanitation throughout the day and between appointments
  • In-office appointments will be limited and staggered to allow time to sanitize surfaces between appointments and to minimize contact with others:
    • All those in attendance are asked to follow the in-person contact protocol to ensure a physical distance of 2 metres
    • Do not arrive early for your appointment time to minimize time in the waiting room
    • All waiting room furniture has been removed
    • Clients may wear a mask, if they choose
    • Bathroom usage is emergency use only
